PEACE
More Important than life itself. If you have everything life can offer without peace, you are unhappy. Peace can never be achieved by outside stimulus. Peace is an inside thing. Most people have little peace. Some experience being happy, being in love, being sad, but few experience peace. Peace cannot be won, earned, or found by searching for it.
Peace is something everyone wants but never experience. People live in fear, fear of death, fear of loss, and fear of not achieving. People with PhDs and high school dropouts are searching for peace. They try relationships, drugs, music, diets, and other outside stimulus. They read self help books, yoga, and eastern mythologies. They go to every extreme in life and work to find this illusive state of being.
There are people who don’t have a clue what peace is at all. They confuse it with happiness, and good feelings. They wait for the next bad thing to happen to them or their family. There is never an assurance that everything will work out ok.
Peace comes from a relationship with God. It is available for everyone. You don’t have to be a Holy Roller religious fanatic. You don’t have to be perfect. All you have to do is recognize that you were created by a Loving God that loves you more than life itself. You must acknowledge that by yourself you have no control over circumstances and situations. Let’s face it; you don’t really know what will happen to you in the next minuet let alone a lifetime. God not only knows the past and the future, he knows your past and your future. To go one step further, God has a plan for your life. God not only has a plan for your life, but since it is His plan, He will move Heaven and Earth to make sure His plan is worked out. God does order the steps of His children, and has only good things for those who acknowledge Him as Lord.
Bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people. Life is full of twist, turns, and tragedies. If you live long enough life will deal you a bad hand. Peace allows us to go through this life knowing that God has everything under control, including our very lives. Every promise God gives us in His Word is true and can be relied on. The Bible says that all things work together for good for them that Love the Lord. The peace of God is the peace that comes from God. Through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, who paid in full, every transgression against God on the cross; became our substitution on the cross proving God’s love for us and His desire to be a loving father to His creation.
Peace is so important; we cannot live and be ok in this world without it. Reject it if you dare, but peace can only come from a relationship from God. Don’t complain as some due that their life is a train wreck and no one cares. That is a lie from Hell. 100% of the people that truly come to the Lord on His terms find peace. God cares about you and wants you, His child to live in peace and to have a relationship with Him. Oh, by the way, God’s peace comes with joy.
