God holds your future in His hands

GOD HOLDS YOUR FUTURE IN HIS HANDS

"He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away. And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new. And He said, Write, for these words are faithful and true." And He said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.  He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son." Rev. 21:4-7

What a comfort these words are. It?s God?s promise to us. I want to share with you that God has everything in this world under control.

God knows that things in our lives don?t always go well, but He said, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." James 1:2-5

Remember Romans 8:28: "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

I get excited when I remember that even though things don?t seem to be working out well for me on the surface, God will cause everything in my life to work out for good. This promise, He has always delivered on in my life. I can recall many trying times, not only did I come through them, but they all worked out for my good.

God is not limited to time! He can see things in the past, present and the future. Having the power to control things that He desires.   He has no problem directing things to pass in our lives when we trust Him for our lives. Living in peace is better than turmoil. We all must learn to trust God for everything.

In the Gospel (Good News) of Matthew we are instructed not to worry about anything, God has everything under control. "Do not be anxious then, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we clothe ourselves?  For all these things that we eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matt. 6:31-34 "Do not be anxious then, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we clothe ourselves?  For all these things that we eagerly seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matt. 6:31-34

God will take care of everything if we allow Him. I have been challenged many times concerning God working out all things for our good.  It all comes down to commitment.  Remember, there is no cheap grace. Every promise of God is conditional on our obedience and acknowledgment of Him. Remember; "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you."

We are always put in a position to make choices in our lives. When we look back at the choices we made in the past, what do we see?

There is good news for us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16.

The "me" generation we live in today cannot understand love like this. Today we cannot conceive giving our lives even for our country. In this period of self gratification, the though of personal sacrifice is depressing. Parents look at their children as problems to overcome instead of gifts from God that they are. We work overtime to buy more things we think will make us feel better about ourselves. We want it all, and we want it all NOW!. How foolish we have become. The more we have the more we want. Think about this! We only want what we do not have. Once we possess it we want something larger, something new, someone else, and more of it or them. We will never be satisfied from without, until we are satisfied from within.
